JOHNSTONE SERVICES.
What kinds of service you can expect : You will meet with your Social Worker who will decide how many hours of support you will be given depending on your needs. You will meet a Carr-Gomm worker to help you decide when you are most likely to use the hours. You and your workers will then put together a support agreement which is like a contract and will detail your support needs in full.
This will include things like your morning and evening routine, when you take your medication, any personal care, what you like to eat, how you like to pass your time, your hopes and dreams, budgeting and anything else that is important to you. This contract is in place to help us make sure that your wants and needs are being met. This contract is not set in stone, it can change as your needs change and is regularly reviewed.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I get the service? You can speak to your Social Worker or a family member, friend or advocate. You can approach us at the project. You can ask your GP or district nurse.
Do I have to pay for the service? Your Social Worker will be able to tell you about this. You may have to pay some money towards the cost of your support.
How do you know we will provide a good service? We choose our workers very carefully and regular checks are done to ensure they are doing their job well. We will ask you and your Social Worker for your views on how good a service we are providing. The Care Commission will inform us if we are getting right and you will be able to read any report that they do. If you are unhappy with our service you are entitled to make a complaint. There is another leaflet which explains how to do this.
