Be part of our organisation

Members of the public interested in our work, people who use our services and staff can now become voluntary members of our company.
If you are a member you:
 

  • have a say in the company's direction

  • participate in the AGM and other general meetings

  • can propose motions at the AGM and general meetings

  • have to agree major changes in our company

  • have to formally approve and can question the company's accounts and the annual reports

  • elect the company directors

  • are the only people who can stand for election to become a company director

  • may be consulted or involved in working groups

  • will receive communications - on this page of the website and a Newsletter at least twice a year

  • other things that may be developed in the future

    What are your responsibilities as a company member?
     

  • You have to genuinely support what Carr-Gomm Scotland is about

  • You are expected to act responsibly, for example, at meetings and votes

  • You vote who should be on the Board of Directors

  • There is a subscription of £1

  • If the company goes bankrupt you might have to pay up to £1
